Amber Ayurveda

Amber Ayurveda was created by Josephine Amber Muir to share the love and knowledge of the essence of Ayurveda.

For over 10 years she has seeked the holistic journey to find a suitable diet and lifestyle for herself and loved ones. Through this long and intrepid journey around the world she stumbled across the pure connection to nature and the roots of Ayurveda in so many traditional walks of life. Over four years ago, Josephine began her studies into Ayurveda with the wonderful and passionate teacher Dylan Smith and his dedicated teachers the Raju Family learning about the importances of connection we have to nature, the elements and the relationship to all things living. She then continued with Dr Ajit at the Australian Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine going even deeper into the practicality of Ayurveda, learning the skills of Cooking, Pulse Diagnosis, Massage with and without Marma points, Shirodhara, Basti Treatments and many more.

Within only a few weeks of embodying the lifestyle and practice of Ayurveda she started noticing a substantial difference to her own health, from this she knew she was on the right path. Slowly, slowly she was being asked from others what she was doing right and what this new found radiance of health she had about her. It was the embodiment and connection to the Ayurvedic Dinacharya (rituals) slowly rippling out.

“We live as ripples of energy in the vast ocean of energy.” — Deepak Chopra

Once feeling into this energy and the timing she began to take on clients for her Ayurvedic studies, noticing a strong and enthusiastic crowd of people seeking to know more about diet and lifestyle and how to implement a better way of being for themselves. Amber Ayurveda sprung from this collective love, the community grew and Josephine began catering beautiful retreats and events, doing conscious Ayurvedic cooking classes, having one-on-one clients for consultations and doing Ayurvedic treatments.

Whilst living in India Josephine also studied Ashtanga, Shaivism Tantra Yoga and Kriya Meditation practicing every day as she believes these practices come hand in hand with the balance of Ayurveda.

To her, life is the integration of Mind, Body and Soul: Creating Tulā (तुला) refers to “balance” with a reminder to always check back in with that childlike essence of playfulness, kindness and love.

“This is the real secret of life — to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realize it is play.”

-Alan Watts
